What should I expect when being fitted for removable dentures?
Your gums must fully heal from any tooth extractions before getting dentures. This process may take a few months, depending on your healing rate. Once healed, we’ll take an impression of your gums and underlying bone. We’ll use this impression to create dentures at a nearby dental lab.
Will I need to follow any special after-care instructions?
Once your dentures are ready, you can wear them daily. Expect an adjustment period of a few weeks to adapt to the new dentures. During this time, you may experience some soreness and irritation, but it should subside within a few days or weeks.
